The Maths-up Society adopts the saying of Atatürk “Science” to be sure. Certainty is found in mathematics in its most perfect form. So, if science is that discipline and its propositions are expressed in mathematics then disciplines that do not use mathematics will be excluded from science.” As stated in its statement, Maths-up is a student society that believes that the precision desired by science can only be achieved with mathematics and thinks that mathematics plays an important role for all disciplines in this context and observes the Basic Values of TED University.
Maths-up Society; With its activities, it aims to make TED University students realize that mathematics is in life and in every field, to break down prejudices against mathematics, and to teach the importance of mathematics education and mathematical thinking. At this point, in its first academic year, it organized seminars, game and movie nights, teaching “GO” game, various award-winning online games, and a trip to Istanbul for the Spring Mathematics Meetings. At the same time, it took an active role in the Make a Difference in Education online summit with various communities.
Considering these activities, we aim to do many more together with our members who are devoted to mathematics. We wish to be together in the beautiful memories that we will accumulate during our university years while we developed ourselves academically and culturally.
